Fairy Tales

Fairy tales have always had a place in many cultures. Some fairy tales were written in ancient times and passed down from generation to generation. Some fairy tales are very well known such as the writings of the brothers Grimm. Some fairy tales were written to convey a lesson or moral such as The Aesop Fables. Whatever the origins, fairy tales have always held a special place in our lives.

The Princess Fairy

Over the hills and far away, all the Fairies came out to play. Laughing and giggling, they played in the dewdrops and danced under the light of the moon.

They were celebrating the Fairy King’s birthday. The Fairy Queen held a marvellous feast and danced with the king of the frogs. The Fairy Princess was sitting on a lily pad in the Palace pond, staring at her reflection.

"What’s wrong?” asked her best friend Piper, sitting beside her.

The princess frowned. "I want to travel the world," she announced. "I'm getting bored being a princess. I want to be an explorer."

Piper was shocked, but after thinking hard, he agreed to travel the world with her.

"Imagine all the places we can go to!" the princess exclaimed. "Skiing in Russia, scuba diving in Australia Let's go now!"

And, using their special fairy magic, they transformed themselves into explorers and darted off to travel the world.
